Hello, Richard. I take my hat off to you. You have done a wonderful job. It
turns out that what I told you isn't true. I had intended for your recipes
to go in the June edition of the Braille Monitor. President Riccobono
suggested that the convention might be a good time to spotlight things that
might be served at a in person convention ceremony where distancing
requirements are followed. He asked me to involve our three centers. So, you
are well ahead of the game my friend, and I thank you for meeting the
deadline that we both thought you were under.

When I say thank you, I'm not sure that that really conveys enough of how I
feel. It is very frustrating to be the editor of the Braille Monitor and to
realize how many people don't read it and how many state presidents don't
actively nurture the recipe column. So, you get a really heavy Goldstar from
me.

Warmly,

Gary

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back
