Dear Family, Friends, and Colleagues,

I showed this presentation (linked below) in one of my classes this week, and I think if you take the time to check it out you might find it to be of some interest as well. Please don't get mad at me, because it is about non-verbal communication, but I think you will see that there are some very relevant parts for those of us who are blind and visually impaired. I remember taking a non-verbal communication class as a graduate student at Purdue University and at certain points of the class, my instructor would remark, "how are you so familiar with certain non-verbal cues if you are totally blind? Where did you learn those?" Some of the experiences from that class still haunt and resonate with me today. This presentation might do the same for you in some ways. It is about 30 minutes in length, so you should watch it when you really have the time to digest it all.
