Orbit Writer Updates, Cases, and More


By far, the hottest product of the past few months has been the Orbit Writer, the new $99 keyboard with 6-key braille input. You can use it with an iPhone or computer, and it works with your favorite screen reader.

Now, we've added an exclusive, A. T. Guys case. Custom-designed by A. T. Guys and Candoable, this snap-on case is custom-made for the Orbit Writer and made of a premium, flexible, TPU material. It enables you to use your Orbit Writer with the case attached, while still allowing access to the charging port and lanyard connector.

The snap-on case covers the bottom and sides of the unit. The top is exposed so you can type while the case is on the unit.

The Orbit Reader 20 Plus braille display is now in stock and ready to ship. It includes on-board braille translation, a clock, calculator, and more for $699. The Orbit Reader 40 is currently estimated to ship in December.
