Maybe somebody from the seniors division can get in contact with them. Also, not sure if she would be able to do this, or it would be helpful, but maybe there would be some interest in the upcoming senior retreat since it is being held virtually. Don’t know too much about it though.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise the expectations of blind people because we know that low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want, blindness is not what holds you back.

This is the message that I received.
Good morning,
I have a resident at the nursing home I work at who is newly blind and
having difficulty adjusting/understanding. I was wondering if you could
point me in the right direction for activities for her or resources
available in order to help her cope/deal with anxiety.
Thank you.

Salem is a beautiful and is quite rural. Not much in major manufacturing but
a great amount of Amish wood-work shops.
Resources, not sure what you are seeking, please explain further.
