Good afternoon!  As you will recall at our annual Convention in November we
passed Resolution 2021-05 regarding promoting employment opportunities in
the entertainment industry for blind and low vision individuals. I just
received a notice regarding a casting call that is specifically seeking a
blind 11-14-year-old female for a role in a film. This casting call was
forwarded to me by the Access Acting Academy which is run by blind actress
Marilee Talkington. You might recall that Ms. Talkington previously
participated in an NFB National Covnention. This could be a fantastic
opportunity for a young actress to gain her first professional experience.
