If you are a veteran who receives health care through the VA, you may be
eligible for a COVID vaccine. The current eligibility requirements are
listed below. Note that eligibility requirements change quickly; please
visit the links below for the most up-to-date information and to sign up for
automated updates.   

 

Veterans enrolled and using VA healthcare who fall into one of the following
categories: 

 

*        Age 60+

 

*        Age 50 - 59 with one of the following conditions: 

 

o   Cancer 

 

o   Chronic kidney disease 

 

o   COPD 

 

o   Heart conditions (heart failure, coronary artery disease,
cardiomyopathies) 

 

o   Immunocompromised state from solid organ transplant 

 

o   Obesity

 

o   Severe obesity 

 

o   Sickle cell disease 

 

o   Smoking (tobacco), current or former user 

 

o   Type 2 diabetes mellitus 

 

 

The Northeast Ohio VA is currently calling Veterans to make appointments for
one of three vaccine distribution locations: The Cleveland VA Medical
Center, Akron VA Clinic, and Youngstown VA Clinic. The vaccine will be
administered by appointment only.
