[Ohio-Talk] Cleveland Chapter Updates

Good Morning Cleveland Members,

 

Happy New Year,

 

We will hold our first Cleveland Chapter meeting this Friday, January 15,
2021 at 5:00 PM EDT. We will use the Zoom Room.

 

Please be available for this meeting as it is important to discuss the
vision for 2021.

 

Also, all Committees are open and I am seeking Committee Charis for all.
There is a list of them below.

 

Please highly consider taking on a role that you have not ventured
previously as a member. It is always great to learn and take on new
endeavors and activities. 

 

I want to remind you that I will be stepping down this November. Therefore,
I am seeking a successor who will carry on the Cleveland's mission, purpose
and values. So, give significant thought to holding a board position. The
Ohio Affiliate as well is looking for talent and individuals who are ready
to take on the promise of the affiliate and uphold its philosophy. The same
holds true for Cleveland.

 

The Ohio Affiliate will hold their Board of Director's meeting on the 25th
of this month. I will send out how to access the meeting in a few days.

 

In addition, on this Thursday, January 14, 2021, the National Legislative
Team will hold a Zoom call informing the federation of the legislative
initiatives for the 2021 Washington Seminar. Erick Duffy is the Chair of the
Ohio Legislative team and he will also soon hole meetings providing updated
information on how, when and where Ohio will meet with our National
Representative and Senators. The National meetings are at 8:00 PM. Please
look out for the contact information. I will forward it as soon as I get the
announcement.

 

This afternoon at 5:00 PM EDT. Ohio will hold a Social Security call that
will provide information on work incentives and more. If you have questions
and would like to learn, please call into the call. It will be on Zoom. Even
if you are not seeking employment, information is always good to have in
case you have friends, family and other who might need your referral and
information.

 

The voice box will be updated tonight. However, if you know of someone who
does not have email, please provide this information to help them say
informed.
