I stopped everything and made the calls. Senator Manning’s aide said that they had received the email about this at 9:30 this morning. She said that she would send it on to the Senator and tell him that I had called. My advice is to call immediately. House members do not seem to be in today, but the senate office was staffed. Please call immediately.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise expectations for blind people because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and their dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

Please make phone calls and send letters today. In the Senate let your Senator know that the co-sponsor request has come from Senators Antonio and Hackett. In the House let your Representative know that the co-sponsor letter has come from Representatives Crawley and Ray.
