Dear Ohio Members and Partners,
Insight of the rising COVID-19 cases in Ohio, the Ohio Board of Directors
has made an Executive decision not to hold an in-person Columbus Seminar
nor Job Seeker Seminar this year.
Although this important event has been canceled, we will continue to work
pushing our legislative initiatives. Please continue to contact your Ohio
representatives to co-sponsor the Parental Rights Bill in the Ohio House and
Senate. More will be coming forth from the NFBO Legislative Team chaired by
Eric Duffy.
I understand that there may be questions. However, allow time and patience
to guide you; as the Board of Directors are diligently working together to
execute additional virtual endeavors in Ohio.
With that said, the Ohio State Convention is also canceled as an in-person
event. Again, stay tuned for more updates to come! At this time, the Ohio
Board of Director's meeting still will be held, just virtually on the Ohio
Zoom Platform, on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00 AM EDT. The
Convention and additional NFBO matters will be discussed.
Presidents, please ensure that your Chapter members are aware of this
important meeting and provide necessary information on how to enter the Zoom
Room. I am imploring all members to be present at the Ohio Board meeting.
Thank you all for your cooperation, patience and understanding.
Please stay safe and protected!
You should check with the hotel about rooms that we did not arrange or that
were changed contact me off list if you have any questions or concerns.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
