Also wanted to let people know that 10:30-12:15 is the “presentation/Q&A” time, and 2-4:30 is the hands on activity time if you can’t come the whole day. I will be driving from OSU. It is an hour north of OSU and I can drive people in the area.
Thank you,
Caroline Karbowski

> The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

> See3D has been talking with Girls Scouts in Columbus and they invited us to help with their accessibility themed teen camping event on Saturday October 16 from 10:30 am - 4:30 pm at Camp Crooked Lane in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. I talked with the director today, and they want both presentations and demos of blindness accessibility things/Q&A about blindness as well as hands on activities for the girls. They really liked the idea of writing braille, learning about See3D and models, and learning about screen readers and nonvisual skills, especially basic cooking skills like using measuring cups and bump dots. If anyone is available to come to the event and help out that would be great. Please let me know if you want to discuss more details. Also feel free to email if you have ideas and suggestions even if you can’t come.
