Join the Disabled Community of Northeast Ohio as we rally for better access to voting, transportation, and housing! We want to encourage constructive conversations about the issues and provide opportunities to act
SOME GENERAL DETAILS ABOUT MARCH FOR ACCESS 2022
March for Access will take place from 9 am – 2 pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022 (rain or shine event)
* This is a FREE event, but we do ask that people CHECK-IN at the ADA Cle Info Tent (open at 9 am)
* MOST IMPORTANTLY – we need you to promote this event and work diligently to get people out to Public Square! Please share within your organization and externally.
March for Access Timeline
* 11:00am – Rally and Speakers
* 11:30am – March for Access
* 12:00 – 2pm – Activity & Advocacy Stations: Transportation, Housing, Voting
*
Parking
* PARKING: Parking is available at the County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 1275 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland. Youth Challenge will provide FREE & ACCESSIBLE shuttle service to/from Public Square from 9am – 2pm.
* Limited outdoor parking is also available at a lot just west of Public Square. There is a fee to park there. 226 W. Superior Ave., Cleveland
* For those utilizing PARATRANSIT, the following addresses will get you closest to the action: Address: 50 Public Square, Cleveland, Ohio
Accessibility
* An ASL interpreter from the County Board will be available to individuals as needed
* The RALLY / SPEECHES will be ASL interpreted. CART service is provided
* Reserved seating available close to stage and monitor
* ADA restrooms located at the NW quadrant for Public Square, near the stage
* Sunscreen and general first aid will be available
* Wheelchair charging station near the stage
Food
* Food trucks will be available on Rockwell Avenue, northern border of Public Square
