Yes you can.  In the early 70's I wrote a musical , The Historical Tribute To Gospel Music.
It went over very well and due to my lack of knowledge of copy righting, eventually Dr. Bobby Jones reestablished my musical   tribute and has been performing this with the Tennessee Super Choir.

I remember music class in junior high school where we probably spent three weeks learning this song. We had a very picky music teacher. Your version sure sounded a lot better than ours, but we did not have any music.
