Mary also traveled with members of her Church to third world Countries to
provide much needed medical and dental services. If I'm recalling correctly,
she did much of the cooking for the doctors and other members of her Church
while they were on these missions.
Mary was a very kind, caring person and fun to be around. Always offering a
helping hand. Her happy nature was contagious!
I am glad that I got to know Mary through the Federation. May she rest in
peace.

Subject: [Ohio-Talk] Mary Pool has died

I just learned from Shirley Bechner that Mary Pool died last Tuesday. She
was 93. I have no other details. Mary was a leader in the affiliate for a
number of years. She lived in Canton and was an active member of the
merchants division for all of her working life.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise
expectations for blind people because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and their dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
