I'm sorry to hear that this happened to Pat at her polling place.
The first year that electronic voting machines became available and blind
people could vote independently, the audio for the machine at my polling
place would not work. It took 3 and a half hours for someone to figure out
that the problem had to be the headset. Another headset was delivered to the
polling place bythe a Board of Elections official, and then I was finally
able to vote.
If it was known that the keypad was malfunctioning at Pat's polling place,
the Poll Judge should have called the Board of Elections to have a
replacement keypad brought over.
Blind voters can't always hang around endlessly waiting for the poll workers
to fix a problem with the voting machine, but we should all be aware that we
do have a right to insist that they get the Board of Elections to fix the
problem, even if that means the Board of Elections has to bring over an
entire new voting machine with new headset and new keypad.

Hello Richard,
I talked to him on the phone. We did not exchange email.
We only discussed the Machine from Dominion which he said is used in 12
Counties.
I did give him the dates of our Convention. I told him that I thought you
would contact him. After all, I could not speak for you.
Pat McPherson had problems with a nonworking keypad which they knew about at
her Polling Place. They asked her if she could see the Screen and vote that
way.
She had to have her daughter help her.
I told Pat to call her Board of Elections, Brett from the Secretary of
State's Office and Lou Anne Blake from National Office.
Brett did say that he would have no problem coming to our Convention that
close to Election.
Lou Anne Blake said that we could view a Video or have Training on Zoom.
Personally, I feel that the Training should be in person using Voting
Machines. I did tell Lou Anne my opinion.
I am sorry this came up but I personally would like to voting in person and
not by absentee Ballot.

Hello Barbara,
I know it is two days from Election but Brett said he could do that.
Louanne Blake thought it was a good idea too.
