I was never able to figure that out, but I'll post your email to Blind Rollers and see if they have any ideas.

Subject: [Ohio-Talk] Ideas needed
I have just received a call from an older blind friend who is now living in an assisted living residence. He will be using a walker for the rest of his life. He is wondering if blind walker users have tips for using a white cane with a walker. What kind of cane is best? What methods do you use for holding on to a cane with a hand that is also using a hand rail where possible? Are there tricks for using one hand on a walker while you are caning? Any observations or tricks would really be useful.
Thanks,
Barbara

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise expectations for blind people because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and their dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
