Ohio Members and Friends,

We are so, so very close to the event of the year in Ohio.

Yes!

The National Federation of the Blind of Ohio 76th Annual Convention in Independence Ohio is vastly approaching.

The Convention Planning Committee want to remind you that this coming Friday, October 28th is the last day for preregistration. After that, registration will begin and you will have to pay a higher cost for the banquet as well at the door. The Greater Cuyahoga County Chapter will greet us all early on November 4th at 9:00 AM.

Also, please donate goodies, water, soda, healthy snacks, paper products for the hospitality room. Everyone is invited to partake of what is to be offered between 5:30 to 8:30 PM on November 4th as well.

Additionally, we are seeking ambassadors from each Chapter to volunteer for a number of duties. If you are willing to assist in this regard, please email me off list. All outside volunteers are appreciated. So, if you have friends or family members who would like to volunteer two to three hours of their time, please email me with their contact information. I will be meeting with them all next week.

Finally, please encourage all first-timers to attend the Rookie Roundup. I have noticed that we have a vast number of participants attending the event this year. This is so exciting. If you have never attended a convention in person, you are a rookie. So, we will welcome you on Friday, November 4th from 1:00 to 1:45 PM.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you and we will see you soon!

Suzanne

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
