Greetings, federation us and friends, the Ohio diversity equity and inclusion committee will present its black history program, celebrating Black History Month, February 2023. Black History Month is an annual monthly observance in the USA, it began as a way to remember in Porten people and events in the African diaspora.
We had the distinct pleasure to acknowledge for African-American blind males in the state of Ohio, who have chosen to give and be of service in leader ship rolls to the Ohio affiliate of the national Federation of the blind. We will honor them on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 on the Ohio zoom room platform, from 7 PM until 8:30 PM. Join us in celebrating these awesome men who will inspire us and encourage all those who wish to follow them through their story and their voice as they proceed as leaders in the Ohio affiliate. Like Miss Turner stated, they are bucket, fillers, not bucket dippers. Don’t miss this opportunity. You will receive your zoom invitation by Wednesday February 15 to cordially invite you to listen and learn from some of Ohio’s best. They are, the honorable president of our affiliate, Mr. Richard payne.
Vice president of our Cleveland Chapter, Mr. William Turner.
Vice president of the greater Akron chapter, Mr. Masquenada Douglas.
President of the Ohio, diabetes, action, net work, Mr. Walter Mitchell. Mark your calendars you don’t want to miss out,
Reverend Dr. Carolyn Peters, chairperson of the Ohio diversity equity and inclusion committee, William Turner, Christopher Sabine, and Annette Anderson.
