The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.

Subject: [Ohio-Talk] deceased today, November 20, 2023

Dear Federation family,

For those who remember Paul Dressell, Mr. Door Prize (prior to Annette Lutz)
I learned on Thursday, November 16, that the only child of Paul and Bernie
Dressell, their son Eddie, had entered hospice. Eddie's mouth, throat and
lung cancer had returned from 15 years prior. Bernie called me again today,
November 20, to tell me that Eddie has now died. Bernie has been living with
her son and daughter-in-law in Adams County since Paul's death in April,
2019. She has asked for brief phone calls from her friends in the Federation
if you wish. Her number is (937) 386-7235. No further information is
available except that Bernie thinks there will be a private service either
this coming Friday or Saturday.

Bernie does not use a computer. If you call her, she has a hearing loss as
well and processes your side of the phone conversation slowly.

Sincerely with condolences,

Debbie Baker, Springfield chapter
