Happy Summer to all OHIO Federation Members, Friends, and Allies! We hope
the warmth of the summer sun is having a healthy affect on you.
If you haven't heard yet, we are relaunching the NFB of Ohio Newsletter
later this summer.
It is profoundly important to continue the issuance of the newsletter across
the Ohio affiliate. Many good things are happening in our chapters across
the state.
As we advance forward, we want to continue chronicling who we are and what
we do and what we experience, for the national organization, for our
affiliate peers and for ourselves.
Last week, a group of us travelled to Orlando for our NFB National
Convention. However, most of us stayed behind and tuned in to the virtual
broadcasts. As another idea for your Letters to the Editor, let us hear
from you with your impressions of the convention.
We are looking for letters to the editor but also articles that you have
written at any point in time that speak to the interests, the mutual needs
and the experiences of our Federation membership. We even welcome links to
similar material written by others that can be included as a reprint.
The newsletter is a reflection of a free press and it is our democratic
opportunity to let your voice and your perspective be known.
If you don't use word processing software you may use the form of
communication that is easiest for you. We can receive your entry as braille,
or written directly into email or by text, or as an audio recording. If you
prefer to dictate your thoughts- tell us and we will accommodate your
communication method. Please respond by Sunday, JULY 21, 2024.
Again, you may send your entries to: nfbofohionewsletter at gmail.com

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
