National Federation of the Blind of Ohio (NFBO)

Cleveland Chapter

Offers the ability to read and write through Braille Instruction.

The ability to read and write braille is still key to independence for blind
and low vision individuals. Because of the evolution of increasingly digital
assistive technology developing, there are clear benefits to reading and
writing Braille. Therefore, the Cleveland Chapter is offering a one-month
Peer to Peer Braille Instruction Course.

Braille provides spelling, grammar, and punctuation for gaining an
understanding of how text is formatted on the page. So, if you are a
first-time learner or have limited ability to read and write Braille, then
this course is for you!

This free one-month course will run on Saturday's, May 11th, May 18th, May
25th, and June 1st, 2024, from 11:00 to 1:00 PM EDT. The location is in the
heart of University Circle, 1962 Stokes Blvd, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. To
sign-up, please contact Joann Williams at (216) 571-8260 or Suzanne Turner
at <mailto:SMTurner.234 at gmail.com> SMTurner.234 at gmail.com.

Together, with love, hope, and determination, the members of the National
Federation of the Blind transform dreams into reality. You can live the life
you want, blindness is not what holds you back.
