How rewarding is this news.
For years blind parents who wanted to adopt faced many barriers.
The little guy has a bright future and on behalf of the Cleveland Chapter,
congratulations!

Subject: [Ohio-Talk] Welcome to Jorge Andre Ewell
Some of you will remember Jason Ewell from Norwalk. He was a member of the
affiliate before he went to Baltimore to work for the national organization.
He and his wide Jessica, who is a voice professor at Steubenville College,
have adopted a little boy who turned three this past summer. He is from
Ecuador, and he is blind. He is learning English and how to get around on
his own two feet. They sound very happy. I know you join me in
congratulating the entire Ewell family.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise
expectations for blind people because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and their dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
