gather to discuss the joys, challenges, and strategies involved in raising
children on the autism spectrum. This is an opportunity to share
experiences, offer support, and learn from one another in a welcoming,
inclusive, and understanding environment.

Blind Parents do not have to be members of the National Federation of the
Blind to participate.


So, if you are, were, or will become a parent, grandparent, adoptive or
foster parent and blind, join us Sunday, August 24th at 3:00 pm.


Masquenada Douglas and Ivory Thomas will facilitate a special panel
discussion on the topic: “Navigating the Intersection of Autism and
Blindness.” This session will feature insights from professionals and offer
advocacy tips focused on understanding how autism intersects with
blindness. The discussion will also explore effective strategies for
communication, social engagement, and emotional support.
