Hello, my Federation family.

It warms my heart to share more good news with you. I just became a licensed Community Support Associate, which lines up with all of the Peer Support, I’ve been engaging in. Peer Support is one on one work, CSA’s work with Youth and their families. Still a lot of ongoing training to go, while continuing to look for work within this field. Right after this passed State Convention, I reached out to President Payne, requesting to chair the Employment Committee, for the affiliate. I was thinking a little about Peer Support then, but never thought I would be so in to it within a very short period. Already had one phone interview with United Healthcare this passed Monday, and looking forward to an in-person interview to take place very soon. So chairing employment at this time is probably a good fit for me, and hopefully the affiliate as well. Not totally sure when this will take place, but most likely will be soon. Planning to meet with my committee, to set up a webinar with anyone who wishes to attend. Talking about, where the blind work, as well as writing resumes, and having good job interviews. Just what’s taking place with me currently. Please feel free to reach out to me offline, if you have questions, ideas, or suggestions.
