Bicentennial of Independence: Celebrating the Brilliance of Braille 


Join the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) for a transformative learning experience as we honor two centuries of breakthroughs in Braille, blind innovation and the enduring legacy of Louis Braille. At the NFB BELL® (Braille Enrichment for Literacy and
 Learning) Academy, we’re empowering the next generation to carry forward this remarkable tradition of independence, creativity, and possibility. 

Through engaging activities, hands-on learning, and mentorship from experienced blind leaders, participants will deepen their Braille literacy and build confidence in nonvisual skills. Together, we'll explore how Braille and blind innovation have shaped the
 past, enriched the present, and are driving the future. 

Our   program  will include interactive Braille lessons that celebrate 200 years of tactile literacy; inspiring stories of blind inventors and change-makers and as always fun, educational activities to build nonvisual, daily living and social skills. 


Help us find blind children to participate in our program from June 15-21.
