Marianne. I'm passing your email along to Lisa Averion, who is Associate Director of the Belongingness Ministry at the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. She has five children, for of whom have special needs. Her eldest is in college now and has low vision (as we say in the Federation, functionally Blind). I don't know what high school he attended but maybe she'll respond to you directly?

Chris

Subject: [Ohio-Talk] question about blind students attending Catholic schools

I am working with a student who is interested in attending a Catholic high school. The family has a long history with the high school but she contacted them with an email to advocate for herself but she was told it would not be a good fit. I am so angry at this moment. Does anyone on this list know of a blind high school student who attends a Catholic high school? I know of one who attends St. Xavier high school but it is not a diocesan school.
