Good day to all. As part of our ongoing recruitment efforts for the
Washington Seminar, I would like to inform you about how the process will be
managed this year.
A preliminary shortlist of potential delegates has already been compiled,
and most individuals on this list have been contacted. Additionally, several
members have proactively reached out to express their interest in attending,
which is appreciated.
It is important for all interested parties to visit www.nfb.org to review
the seminar dates and read relevant information about the event. While I am
aware of the scheduled dates, I encourage you to gather details firsthand
from the official website. Once you have reviewed the information, please
feel free to notify me of your continued interest.
Please note that submitting a request to attend does not guarantee selection
as a member of the delegation; rather, it signifies your interest in
participating. If you do not receive a response from me by December 10th, it
indicates that the delegation arrangements have already been finalized.
If you are able to cover your own costs for attending the seminar, this
would be beneficial to our affiliate. While self-funding does not guarantee
selection, it is an important consideration in the process.
Last year, we were able to take a large group to the seminar. This year, the
size of our delegation and other related factors will be taken into account
during the selection process.

The National Federation of the Blind advances the lives of its members and
all blind people in the United States. We know that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. Our collective power, determination,
and diversity achieve the aspirations of all blind people.
