We’re excited to welcome you to a meaningful and supportive meeting of the
Blind Parents Group as we explore the real impact of Seasonal Affective
Disorder (SAD) on blind parents and their families. Hosted by Chair &
Co-Chair Masquenada Douglas and Ivory Thomas, this session will focus on
the emotional and mental challenges that often arise during the colder
months—and how they intersect with the demands of parenting.
We’re honored to welcome special guest speaker Genevieve Hernandez, a
Licensed Psychotherapist, who will share insights on navigating parenthood
when energy and motivation is low. Her presentation will offer
compassionate, actionable guidance to help you care for yourself while
caring for your family.
Blind Parents and Supporters do not have to be members of the National
Federation of the Blind to participate.
So, if you are, were, or will become a parent, grandparent, adoptive or
foster parent and blind, join us Sunday, October 26th at 3:00 pm.
💙 Come join us for connection, learning, and support as we prepare to face
the winter season together.
