Dear Richard,

Happy Birthday!

Today we celebrate not only another year of your life, but another year of
your steady, thoughtful, and inspiring leadership of our Ohio affiliate. We
are incredibly grateful for the wisdom, patience, and dedication you pour
into the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio.

Of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge the friendly joke
about your last name sounding like “Payne.” Thankfully, the only “pain” you
bring is the good kind — the kind that challenges us to think bigger, work
smarter, and stay focused on our mission. In reality, you lead with
clarity, encouragement, and just the right amount of good humor to keep us
all grounded.

Your leadership strengthens our affiliate, your example inspires us, and
your commitment reminds us why this work matters. That is truly something
worth celebrating.

May this coming year bring you continued vision, renewed energy, and plenty
of laughter along the way. May you feel deeply appreciated today — because
you are.
