I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to know her very well, but we did interact on many occasions. Her and I always laughed about the fact that our names were the same. The emails that we sent to one another, we always signed by the other Annette. so, I know she had a wonderful sense of humor. But, I also knows that she had a very kind heart. During the pandemic, I posted on this list a problem I was having on behalf of my mother. Since the library was closed, my mom was unable to receive any talking books, and because of her, having to be at home on her own, she felt the impact of not being able to read greatly. my mom does not have very many technology skills, and is not able to use BARD. I did not have the equipment, or the know how, to get books for her myself. When I posted this problem and asked for solutions, Annette stepped up right away and offered to download Cartridges of books for my mom so that she would have something to pass the days while still confined at home. Her and my mother spoke on the phone, and she picked out mini books for mom and kept her supplied until the library re-opened. The fact that she did this for a perfect Stranger, tells us everything we need to know about , the kind of person she was. Art Federation family will sorely miss her.

My prayers go out to all of you that are filling her loss today.

The Other Annette.

Annette Lutz

President

Capital Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio

614-288-4323

President.capital.nfboh@gmail.com

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future.
