I am very proud of everybody who worked toward getting this bill passed. Unfortunately, time ran out on us. This has happened before with other bills, namely, are disabled And blind, parental rights, Bill. It ran out of time a couple of times before we were successful. But we were successful in the end because of the hard work of everybody. Two years ago, if I remember, correct, there was an effort to try and work through the pharmacy Board to pass regulation to require accessible prescriptions. This did not seem to gain any ground. So, some went back to the legislature to try it that way. This is something we will be successful at. That is why we are consistently asked to make calls and write testimony. Nothing was done about the accessible labeling bill during the first year of this closing legislative session. So Eric, who knows the players and who is trusted by those nationally who are working on the accessible labels efforts, was urged to begin working on the introduction of this bill in the Senate. That was last January. He told us in his email that he really should have begun work the year before. Nothing prevented the NFB-O Legislative Committee from doing the work at the beginning of the term. Eric cares about this legislation, so he has promised to begin work on it early next year. The mistake I made was not getting the Bill introduced until January of this year. This is the second year of the session. I won’t make the same mistake again. In fact, I have a sponsor lined up and we should get the new Bill introduced in early 2025.<br>
