<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT FACE="Aptos">My general recommendation is that the minutes should reflect the actions taken by the chapter rather than serve as a complete record of every report presented. For a treasurer's report, the minutes should indicate that the report was given and received by the chapter. If there were specific motions related to the report—such as approval of expenditures, adoption of a budget, or other financial actions—those actions should be recorded in the minutes. I think that there is value in recording the balance of the chapter treasury as part of the minutes for historical record keeping and transparency to the chapter. This way there is a clear record and members cannot say that information has been withheld.
