I'm not sure. I hope that the Government is open by that time. If not, we
will not be the only ones on the steps begging! LOL

I want to go. Will D.C. be open ? Will Congress be working. Are we to sit
on the steps of the White House and beg? LOL

Trying again, got the addresses wrong the first time.

Hello fellow Diabetics,

I just signed the American Diabetes Association petition to make diabetes a
national priority . Please join me in sending a message to Congress to do
what they can do in the efforts of stopping this horrible disease that we
deal with on a regular basis. Please access:

It is time for our efforts to join with other diabetes advocacy groups to
make a difference in the quality of life that we can expect! Every spring,
the ADA convenes Call to Congress -- bringing hundreds of Diabetes Advocates
to Capitol Hill to educate their members of Congress about the impact of
diabetes, share their personal stories, and advocate for key federal
priorities like federal funding to support diabetes research and access to
healthcare.

Call to Congress is the premier advocacy campaign for ADAs Diabetes
Advocates to drive positive change among congressional champions and key
influencers. It is scheduled for March, 27-29, 2019. Maybe we can consider
sending a delegation from the DAN of Ohio. I feel strongly about expressing
the blindness aspects in a forum of this magnitude. I hope that we can add
this to the agenda of our Febuary meeting.

Thank you,

Walter Mitchell
