Good Evening Ohio Diabetes Action Network,

Allow me to first thank each of you for believing that I have the experience
and knowledge to lead this division as your President. I hope to be the
greatest supporter in the division and I look forward to working with each
of you. I have an open door policy, call me or email me for any question,
comment and/or concern, at the contact information in the salutation.

Second, congratulations to the 2023 elected Executive and At Large board. I
believe that we have a very capable group of individuals that will work
together for a common good. Please support them and show them that you care
and appreciate them.

Third, to the membership; This division have a difficult road ahead of us.
This division almost went extinct this past year, so one of our major goals
is to ensure that we never make it to this point again. How do we do that?
In my opinion, we come together as a family listening to each other with
compassion and love. We may not always agree, but it is ok to agree that we
disagree and find a common ground. I am no better than you and you are no
better than me, we are all in this thing together!! So let's all do our part
and support the community that require our help. At a minimum we can follow
the purpose of the division, which is to, Educate, Empower and Inspire blind
and visually impaired people to independently and confidently manage
diabetes.

Let's be like Pattie LaBelle and have a new attitude, LOL.

"Blind Love is the answer, today, and for our future!"

Sincerely, Walter Mitchell

President, Ohio Diabetes Action Network
