<html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body dir="auto">Hello.<div><br></div><div>Here’s a rough draft of the January DAN report.</div><div><br></div><div>The Diabetes Action Network of Ohio meeting was called to order, by President Joanne Williams, on January 4, at 10 AM.</div><div><br></div><div>Each person had a chance to share their prayer concerns. Everyone took a moment of silence to pray in their own way, thinking and praying for our members and friends, who are hurting, sick, or suffering in any manner.</div><div><br></div><div>A roll call was conducted. </div><div><br></div><div>The following members were present. Joanne Williams, Delcenia Brown, Coleen Roth, Wilbert Turner, Michelle Gulley , Linda Bluford, Wanda Sloan, Gloria Conway, Amber Woods, Lyn Eberhardt, and Suzanne Turner. Richard Payne, and Garry Wunder attended as guests.</div><div><br></div><div>President Joanne Williams thanked everyone for attending.</div><div><br></div><div>Secretary, David Perry was unable to attend this January 4th meeting, Coleen Roth stepped up as acting secretary. This meeting was also being recorded, in able to access the information. The November and December reports have been tabled until the March meeting. Moved by Coleen Roth, and seconded by Delcenia Brown. The motion passed unanimously.</div><div><br></div><div>Coleen Roth gave the treasures report.</div><div>Beginning balance as of November 1, 2024. $1,695.41.</div><div>Ending balance, 1,695.41.</div><div>After State Convention, Coleen made a deposit of $110.</div><div>Current balance. $1,805.45.</div><div>As for PAC, $10 will be deducted from the DAN checking account, on the 10th of each month, starting in January.</div><div>Delcenia Brown moved that the treasures report be accepted as presented, and Wilbert Turner seconded the motion. Checks or money orders can be mailed to Coleen. They can also be made out to the NFB of Ohio Affiliate. Make sure to write DAN in the memo. Bill pay is another option.</div><div><br></div><div>Everyone had the pleasure of hearing from two presenters.</div><div><br></div><div>Garry Wunder reminded us, there’s life after blindness, as well as being diagnosed with diabetes. NFB at the National level is advocating for all medical devices to become totally accessible, and this also includes glucose monitors.</div><div>The second Knowledge Is Sweet Seminar will take place through DAN at the National level level. Location, Jernigan Institute in Baltimore.
