[PABlindMerchants] Wine, Women & Shoes - Opportunity House Fundraiser

I'm excited to share that I'll be participating this year as a Shoe Guy for
Wine, Women & Shoes 2026, Opportunity House's largest annual fundraiser,
happening on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Reading,
PA. This event plays a key role in supporting Opportunity House's mission to
help individuals and families experiencing homelessness regain stability,
secure safe housing, and work toward long-term independence.

 

In case you don't know, Wine, Women & Shoes is a unique and engaging
fundraising event that brings the community together to support a meaningful
cause while enjoying a night out. Guests experience an elegant sit-down
dinner and wine tastings, shop for unique items in the boutique marketplace,
bid on exciting items in silent and live auctions, and enjoy a lively
fashion show. Attendees also have opportunities to purchase raffle tickets
and participate in other fundraising activities throughout the evening. It's
a fun, festive, and interactive way to contribute to Opportunity House's
programs and connect with others who are committed to making a difference.

 

A Shoe Guy is a volunteer who helps support the event and its fundraising
efforts in a visible and engaging way. While I don't yet know exactly what
my role will be during the event, Shoe Guys generally assist with presenting
designer shoes, interacting with guests, helping promote fundraising
activities, and keeping the energy lively throughout the evening. More
details are included in the attached materials. The Shoe Guy who raises the
most donations is crowned "King of Sole."

Please note that the payment workflow is more screen reader accessible on a
computer than on a mobile device for some reason. In addition the attached
materials list June 11 for the date of the event, that was the original date
of the event till Opportunity House learned that there was miscommunication
between them and the DoubleTree and the DoubleTree had the event listed in
their book for June 9.
