Hello everyone,

My name is Simon Bonenfant, and I serve as the president of the
Pennsylvania Association of Blind Students.

I am delighted to welcome you to our fall programming! We have many
wonderful monthly events planned. I’d like to welcome all the new members
to our division, it will be wonderful to get to know you as we move through
our time together.



The Pennsylvania Association of Blind Students is a division of the
National Federation of the Blind of Pennsylvania, an affiliate of the
National Federation of the Blind. As fall colors come into view, and
Halloween approaches, we are entering into a busy time for NFB of PA. From
November 7th to 10th, we will be holding our annual state convention,
located in Erie Pennsylvania. Filled with enlightening speakers, community
engagement and team building opportunities, the state convention has
something for everyone!



For those who have registered to attend, it will be great to connect with
you in person!

 For those who can’t attend but would like to participate, we have virtual
options as well.

As we kick off our fall programming, join me, this Monday October 28, 2024
from 8:00 to 9 PM, as we take a deep dive into all things state convention. You
will hear from NFB of PA state president Lynn Heitz, and from our
convention chairperson Emily Gindlesperger, about what to expect and how
you can get involved. In addition to many interesting activities relating
to technology, advocacy, blindness skills and more, the student division
will be having our own meeting, happening on Friday November 8th from 10:15
to 11:45 AM.

This meeting will be streamed virtually as well as occur in-person.
