Attendance:

Meeting Notes:

-Tim shared he and his wife will be welcoming a new son in the next 2 weeks. Congratulations Tim & Rebecca!

-discussion about Covid-19 impacts on various members lives. Everyone is trying to stay positive and healthy!

-Reminder that our PA State Convention is November 12 through November 15 in Pittsburgh. Jason will be attending in person but other members will participate virtually. There’s still time to register online -the cost is $25 through PayPal. Jason thinks most if not all sessions will be recorded and uploaded for future viewing for those unable to attend. State Convention is such a wonderful event for all PA Chapters to participate in valuable networking and fellowship! A hybrid version will be an amazing accomplishment & experience for everyone following on the heels of a highly successful virtual National Convention!

-Jason asked for ideas or suggestions for future chapter meetings. Jerry suggested speakers with the focus on technology.

-Carlton gave Treasurer’s Report which she submitted online prior to the meeting. She also reminded the members that we have $25 Panera Gift Cards to sell for our fundraiser. There are 23 cards currently available for purchase. With the holidays coming these gift cards make great gifts! Think of all your family & friends who love Panera and order those cards!

-Best wishes and healing vibes to our former Chapter President. Anna Walker, for answers and solutions to her current medical challenges!

-Melissa Carney joined our meeting and as a representative of Democracy Live shared valuable and relevant information about accessible voting. She explained how to order, complete and submit your ballot. She encouraged the use of accessible voting in the upcoming general election.

-Use your voice! Vote! We are fortunate here in PA that through the hard work of many, that we have accessible voting for our citizens to use to cast their votes!

-my phone died right before the end of the meeting so I’m not sure what the plans are for a November or December meeting. Jason can you let me know if it was discussed? Thank you!

Respectfully Submitted,

Carole Cruise
