Hi Friends,

Back in February, I was invited to be a guest on the Champagne Sundays
radio show with Lisa Smith. We talked about several NFB issues
including the Braille literacy crisis and employment stats as well as
the "Sound in Sight" CD project of the Performing Arts Division and the
Mary Anne Parks Performing Arts division Scholarship.

Lisa has invited me back this Sunday. This time she has also invited two
other musicians from the "Sound in Sight" CD: Jazz pianist Mike
Markaverich from the Sarasota, Florida jazz scene and Alvin Suarez from
the NYC Latino band Los Ciegos Del Barrio . Also joining us will be
Performing Arts Division board member Dr. Mindy Jacobsen (NYC), the
first blind woman ordained as a Jewish cantor. Los Ciegos Del Barrio
recently released their third CD and are generously giving us 25% of
their Digg Station sales through the end of August. Visit:

This is a chance to hear cuts from the CD and meet the artists who are
all, of course, blind. Below is the information on the show. Please pass
it around.
Thanks,
Donna Hill, Head of Media Relations
Performing Arts Division, National Federation of the Blind
