Hi List, Ken here my Kooky plan strikes again Huh? I forwarded a copy of
the digest and will do the same thing every day until this changes. I have
also told a few more of our sighted friends. Lori Lynner, and Mare
Wakefield and Lisa Biales. they're joing the choirus. Lori sent me a copy of
her CD as a thank you for a review. This is the same issue I've found with
Pandora Internet Radio. Pandora is supposed to be a site where you make
your own radio station by putting an artist's name in and the music plays and
plays. All you do is rate tracks you like. if you tell the site yes or
no, it keeps the station updated like that. Unfortunately you need a mouse
to go between the stations or to skip tracks and you can't even create an
account without site. Unlike CD baby, they are even more indifferent. They
think it's more important to be financially stable before they can make the
site accessible, they promise and hope to have me as a user in the coming
years, I repeat Years! I guess CD baby and Pandora think blind are
condomned to a lower quality and they we will accept the same old same old on
Commercial radio Huh? That's what I'm going to tell state convention on
Saturday. Since some people don't think blind listen to new music and or want to
discover music, we'll just have to Read since the written word is never
inaccessible thanks to a so called upgrade.

I pledge to participate actively in the efforts of the national federation
of the blind to  achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the blind;
to support the policies and programs of the federation; and abide by it's
constitution.

returning for Round 2.
While this edition, which will begin at 8 PM eastern tonight, will allow
for callers and all the usual things you've come to expect, we will be sure
to play some awesome songs, including the highly anticipated review of the
new Carrie Underwood album.
As stated above, your calls/messages are always welcome by email/msn/aol
instant messengers at the address
live at radio360.us
or when on the mic, you can call up on the phone by dialing

or by skype at the address
radio360usa
Not sure if I'll be with anyone tonight, so you'll just have to tune in to
find out!
At any rate, to listen, save this email, and at 8 PM eastern, head on over
 to
http://www.radio360.us/players/playerselection.shtml

you'll have some company tonight, right?
Hope to see you there!

Hello All.

I have written a short letter to the people at CDBaby about the current
issue of access. I encrage people to fax and send snail mail letters to them
as well as call them. The CDBaby info and my letter are below.

Feel free to pass around this letter.

To Whom it may concern.

My name is Dennis Sumlin Holston, president of the Performing Arts
division of the National Federation of the Blind (PAD, NFB). We are a
volunteer-run non-profit and a CD Baby member artist. It has come to our attention
that the online music store "CDBaby" recently made an upgrade to their
website. As a result, the previously blind user friendly website became unusable
by blind customers. This has caused a major interruption in the day-to-day
purchasing of CD's from the site. Blind artists all over the country are
using CDBaby as an avenue to sell their music. The Performing Arts
division's 2007 release of Sound in Sight, a major source of income for our
projects, is also being sold through this method.

Blind CD Baby customers have written to you about this issue as far back
as two months ago. I encourage CDBaby to look into and rectify the
accessibility issues on their site. If needed, the Performing Arts division of the
NFB will offer any assistance in this effort. If there are any questions
as it relates to this issue, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely:

Dennis Sumlin Holston

President, Performing Arts Division of the National Federation of the
Blind.
