I think though I made a pretty good recording of the show.. see http://marrie.podbean.com where I put most of my convention stuff up there. I dont claim to be the best as I'm learning but yeah. I'm still learning and hopefully next year when I show up I can do a lot better then I did last year including down to streaming live and in stereo using my equipment.

As far as the recording, If anybody will be at the convention and would like to record the talent show, feel free to volunteer. I am sure our stage sound people will be willing to work with you. The digital recordings are not something that the division does, they are made by people that attend the show. The division is not responsible for the sound of any recording. Sometimes, I have been told about recordings that I did not know about. For the division itself to take on the recordings and make them sound perfect, we would have to invest, and we are willing to take donations to that end. Until such time, the recordings will be done by attendees.

I mean if you told me the video wasn't great I'd say ok that's a little more understandable but for sound to be poor quality when that is our primary resource. Granted I don't know anything about the setup or who was involved. I'm just commenting after seeing these few posts today.
