Actually I was talking abou th elive sound. it to me was not up to what I'm used ot hearing at th econvention. I've heard a lot better. I know what you guys were using as well as i've had to deal with those mics. Yuck! I hope next year I can envest in the no cables mics if htye still exist as they are very very good face mics. Mike a piano with a guitar pick up in the center of it and a face mic for the singer if theyare playing as well and you have a very very good sound. I've used that method. Sure it's mono but who needs stereo in a live performance lol! It won't work on a clarenet but a piano and a guitar? Yeah you've got awsome sound. I don't knwo why it works but it will sound a lot better if the piano is miked that way not unmiked like it was half the time last year. and the live mic was so loud I could hear it from the outside when I had to leave for a few minutes. lol! Also it didn't mix at all wiht the music. sometimes the music was louer then the mic and I was btw FOH.
As for moniters? I'm very sprurised the stage did not have them as it would have mde it wasier for the musician. I know as I've had to be in that position before and i hated it. Well I'm not showing up this ear anyway I don't think so you guys can get my help if you want it next year if you want it that is. Still not sure if I'll perform though lol!
Take care.

I did offer to help and learn the equipment. ok I'm not any good but I bet I could have done better then who ever did it last year. the mix was awful! the sound system coild not be heard in the back. over all the performance just all around sucked. Ok not the performers, all of them were very very very good, but the ingineer just sucked majorly.

I mean if you told me the video wasn't great I'd say ok that's a little more understandable but for sound to be poor quality when that is our primary resource. Granted I don't know anything about the setup or who was involved. I'm just commenting after seeing these few posts today.
