[Perform-talk] Something I'm wanting to do!

As a blind musician who mainly plays and sings in churches, I've just
had an idea.
I'd like to present it to this list and encourage other musicians in
other states and in Sandra's case, in other countries!
What I'm looking into doing is going to every school in Arkansas, and
singing a few songs, and telling my story about growing up as a blind
person, and share the NFB's philosophy of independence and equality,
and through this I hope I can educate not only the students in the
assemblies, but the teachers, and other staff at the schools, so they
can know to expect more out of us, and they can know how to treat us
equally.
We need to start doing whatever it takes to educate the children about
blindness, because they're our future Congressmen, government
officials, and maybe future presidents!
If we can educate them, they'll know to pass those laws in the future
to make sure we're treated equally!
Let's get moving, and educating the public about what it really means
to be blind!
Thanks,
