[Perform-Talk] Musical influences

You're my age. I'm 35. But as a kid in the 80s, my dad primarily bought records, though by the late 80s, CDs were popular, and of course, the cassette tape lasted quite some time, grin.

Billy Joel? Amazing! That would be a great concert. I actually have not seen many bands live. I have really bad luck when it comes to seeing bands live. I either have scheduling conflicts, am out of town or tickets are sold out.

One of the best shows I've seen is Coldplay. I took my dad for his birthday, and it was a great show. And Snow Patrol opened, and I love them.

I've seen a lot of local and regional bands. Omaha has a huge indie scene, and I know, or used to know, several people in bands. We have a lot of smaller venues along with huge arenas.

Paul McCartney came to town a couple of years ago, and my mom and I saw him. Paul's getting up there, but he still knows how to put on a show.

Bridgit

Hi. I'm 34 but was into records as a teen ager as I was able to grab all the records I could carry from aunts and uncles attics etc.

My first concert was billy joel with the spin doctors as the opening band. Other concerts I've seen include the rolling stones, steve vai, rush, dream theater, bo diddly, the moody blues, and a classic rock tribute band in England called the hampsters. I've also been to various jazz, orchestral, and early music performances but the specifics are fuzzy on those at the moment...

Cameron.
