I think that is a good idea.
Blind Vision United was started to fill in the gap that the state and other
organizations leave.
1. BVU will endeavor to raise money for blind folk who want to pursue non
conventional vocations. Massage Therapist, Life Coaching, and other
certification programs that the states often do not pay for or even know
much about. We also will endeavor to raise money for tredissional college
degree programs. You must mager in Performing Arts, or Education related
degrees.
Education refers to typical classroom teacher, Rehab teachers, ECT.
2. BVU will distribute grants for youth to go to specialized programs. For
example, BVU will sponcer a blind kid to go to a music/performing arts camp
this summer. We will also assist blind folk to get small peaces of
technology.
3. BVU will set up the systems to deliver important information to blind
people, and develop a system for peer support.
As we are just starting out, these things will be phased in over time. The
youth summer camp thing was our first step. We have filled out the proper
paperwork to be a 501C3 in the state of South Carolina, as the founder is in
that state. It takes time for that to go through. The website is
developing slowly.
While feedback and concerns are understandable, please remember that this is
a brand new venture, and the BVU team also have day jobs as well like many
do. Ride with us, and we will ride for you.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Hello all.
There has been some talk about the new organization Blind Vision United and
it’s website.
The web address was mistakenly given out. The website is not ready yet. If
you did not see much on the site, that is an indication that it was not
ready. I apologize to those who went there and did not find much info. The
interview with David will go on the site, and the site should be ready by
convention.
If you want to aim your fire at Blind Vision United, I am the man to aim at.
I am the operations Manager. This organization is just starting, so info
will be forth coming.
