Hello All, What do you mean when I have to move around on stage? I was going to tell the story of The Little Mermaid. I don't know what actions I would do with it.

Hi Daniella,

Welcome to the list!

I'm excited for you giving your first audition... I agree that you
should definitely be yourself. Tell a story that you know and love,
and if you have a voice teacher, friend, or other mentor you trust,
let them watch you and give you feedback, particularly so that you
know how your movement is perceived. You don't want to just stand
still on stage because whatever character you play won't just stand
still. Haha, I'm rambling a bit, and you may already know this.

Bring your cane on stage, and be confident with it. Put yourself in
the character of the story, and tell it the way you practiced. If you
have any other specific concerns, such as gestures, facial
expressions, or how to talk to directors about getting scripts and the
like, feel free to ask them here, and we will do our best to help!
Let us know how this goes for you!

Julie
