hello maria,

I didn't know that you were one of the actresses who auditioned for
this part and, that there were 15 actresses were also blind too! i'm
sorry that you didn't get the part. but, I do agree that there needs
to be more diversity in the disability in having actors or actresses
in the media who happen to be blind and, be portrayed as themselves
who happen to be not blind and, not be a sighted actress or actor who
happens to be playing a character who happens to be blind or sighted
to give misconception to that in the industry of changing what it
means to be blind in this society of media either in t.v., movies, or
in radio. it's also in the music business too! as for this maybe you
could contact the company or cbs on this and, voice your feelings,
views, or opinions on this and, how you feel about this? the media
needs to know of this and, i'm sure the nfb with the help of this
division will help you out! we are here for you and, are here to
serve you in this capacity!

thanks for sharings your feelings and opinions on this topic and, I
will talk to you soon!

hugs,
amy
