[Perform-Talk] ideas for membership calls

hello all,

as katalyn had mentioned here on this list a few weeks ago we had a
awesome success of our first ever membership conference call on may
8th!  as she had mentioned to you all that we are looking into ideas,
suggestions, and thoughts on future membership calls. I have my own
ideas, suggestions, and thoughts which I will present here on this
list. but, I also want to hear from others here on this list on their
ideas, thoughts, and sugestions for the future membership calls too!
my voice is very good here on this list but, I want to hear from
others and, also so does the board too!

so, here are my ideas for future membership calls.

1. I think that we should deal with the latest thread on blind
actors/actresses in the media and, also in the community like on
thetheatre and in local media.
2.we also need to involve other types of the performing arts like
record producers, voice overs, media relations specialists,
entertainment lawyers, and agents as well too in how they do their
jobs and, how people can get into these careers too
3. we also need to also incorporate other types of the performing arts
not just musicians, singers, or or actors. we need to incorporate
magicians, storytellers, dancers, and poets too.
4. finally, we need to have more involvement of this division like
announcements of activities in the division on a national level and,
also events of blind performers advertising their craft in their
local, state, or national events too!


so, those are my thoughts, suggestions, and comments on this topic. I
want to thank katalyn for overseeing this awesome idea for starting
membership calls for the division and, of course my personal thanks to
the staff at 195theglobe for having this brocasted streamed via the
internet and, also thanks to chris for doing this presentation during
his show the blind side. his show and the station can do a lot of
awesome work for this division and, before this was to be done I was
going to suggest this idea to the list but, thanks to david he did
automatically!  so, we were thinking on the same page which is sooo
cool:)

I think that the staff at 195theglobe should continue to stream and,
then archieve a copy of these calls to members who cannot attend the
calls or want to relive the memories too!  again, thanks for my ideas,
suggestions, and comments on this topic and, I look forward to hearing
from you all soon!
