[Perform-Talk] Question for You Experienced Voice Actors!

Hello Annie,
I would always say memorise where you can or at least be as familiar
as possible, even with the layout. It will make reading quicker. Yes,
writers do change scripts but I've yet to come across a writer to
rewrite the entire script so if they do add or delete a line here and
there, if you have the bulk memorised, you'll still know most of it.
It saves energy because you'll probably be asked to read whatever your
brief is in different styles. If you have to think about what it is
you're saying, plus an accent or violent moods and so on, for me, it
uses unnecessary brain power. It really depends on what you are doing.
I'm often videoed and it looks better if I, as was said before, stand,
or sit, and deliver, rather than turning pages. Sometimes I have to
use props at the same time so there are no hands left to read with
anyway!

Very best wishes,
Sandra.

Very best wishes,
Sandra.
