I’ve been on local radio before one time it was just one song featured on a Concord California radio station and then other times I was on a radio station in Vallejo where I would talk about music and perform some stuff and just hang out with the DJs they are very nice people and with that said I’ve made some really good friends even some famous ones and I really think it’s a fun thing to do and it definitely educates people in general I think it’s a great way to spread awareness of those of us who are disabled in the fine arts music and other avenues of performing arts in general because I don’t think very many people are aware. I am friends with a trumpet player and he has had a lot of questions about me as a blind person coping with life and all especially as a musician. Yes even the subject of braille has come up including braille music. He’s astonished about how I go about performing being blind. I tell them it’s not rocket science you just do it works for you you work it out and if something doesn’t work then you modify it or find a way to work through it I mean life ain’t easy but we get through it. Just like anybody else. We just work a lot harder. It’s funny how people think just because we’re disabled we have these magical powers which really we don’t in my opinion we just work harder with our God-given talents and skills that we have to learn throughout life just like anybody else even if we have to adopt them. I don’t use my disability against me. I use it as an enhancement as a tool if you will and of course I’m preaching to the choir here y’all know this to be true. It’s just when I talk to certain sided people they make everything sound so magical and brilliant it just goes to show that they clearly need some sort of education. But we gotta make it fun as well. Anyway you guys have a great day and good luck with the show.
