Hi Beth!

I'm a casting director based in Los Angeles and looking for the lead of an
upcoming narrative podcast.   The podcast is fiction and scripted like a TV
series, but will be audio only.

*We are looking for a woman aged 18-28 who is blind or low vision to play
our lead.   This is a paid job, no professional acting experience is
necessary and we can record from anywhere in the US.*

Below is information about the podcast, the role we are casting and the
company that is producing the show.   Do you know anyone who fits the role
and would be interested in auditioning?  Could you please help us spread

*PODCAST INFO:*
Title: Wolves at the Door
Recording: August 2022
Production Company: Realm Media
Pay Rate: $125/hour (we expected to record 4 hours a day for a total of 6-7
days)
Location: we are able to record from anywhere in the US.  We will either
send recording equipment to you or book a recording studio in your area

*ROLE:*
*EVA: Blind, visually impaired or low vision actress. 18-28 years old, to
play 17 years old.  *Eva was born with ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity).
She grew up on an old family farm and wildlife rehabilitation center. Her
home life did not endear her to her peers, who are pretty awful to her. She
has a rich digital life and a love interest who she aspires to go to.  Eva
typifies everything her town is not: sophisticated, multi-cultural, rich
with resources for adapting with vision disability. Yet, she finds herself
living in Langeley, caring for her aging grandmother and finishing high
school at a decidedly second-rate institution. She is incredibly organized
and further isolates herself from peers by taking actions that make her
high-contrast/high-color in a rather dull colored world. Her vision
condition manifests as extreme myopia with some ability to see light and
dark and figures to her periphery. *LEAD*
